NEPAL FESTIVAL - MANCHESTER TOWN HALL - 31 May 01 JUNE 2008

The fourth Nepal Himalayan Festival will take place in Manchester over the weekend of 31 May/01 June 2008.

Nepal Trekking will be participating in this event once again with a stand for our trekking and tour operation. If you are in or around the Manchester area please call in over the weekend we are always pleased to see clients, past and present, and perhaps we can assist with your next visit to Nepal.

The Festival will again be a celebration of Nepalese culture, featuring conservation, mountaineering, ecology, textiles and other features on Nepalese life. The festival will also have various demonstrations, music and food together with the travel trade and craft stands. Entrance to the Festival is free with a small ticket price, or donations, for selected talks.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We have a major Community Service and Trekking project planned for Oct/Nov 2009 and if this appeals to you, or any of your friends, club members etc. a leaflet is enclosed please contact us for more details.

We are now able to offer Fair Trade Tours for those interested to see first hand how Fair Trade does Make A Difference. These tours also include the opportunity to experience the culture and sights together with a spectacular mountain flight with a close up tour in the Everest region.

You can also see and be involved in the work of NGOs in the medical field. You can visit villages in the Terai and see the differences their work is making to the everyday life of women and disadvantaged and marginalized communities.
