March 2017 - Update from Nepal

My arrival in Nepal 12 March was yet again to a pleasant daytime 24/5c temperature, much better than I left in UK.

Just a brief update to inform that the Boudha Stupa section in the website is now completed after the renovation and those of you who have made a visit to Boudha may be interested to have a look at the results and progress of the renovations after the April 2015 earthquake.

Donations to Nepal Trekking:

I am always very grateful for donations of clothing for children, teens, and adults in Nepal which we distribute both in Kathmandu and the Sherpa villages in the Khumbu. I take this opportunity to thank the ladies of the Sevenoaks Ladies Joggers based in Kent for their donations of new and good quality used warm children’s clothing given to their club member Joan Mills. Joan is a previous client and good friend of Nepal Trekking who has been collecting for us for many years. The club members can be assured their generous donations will be gratefully accepted and that their efforts will “Make a Difference”. Many thanks from Nepal Trekking on behalf of the people of Nepal.

Tourism:

The Spring Season is underway and the weather is looking fair. However, ongoing political unrest may cause problems to tourism with strike action and transport disruption. We can only hope the situation will not be too bad.
